Treatment Built Around You
Because Pain Affects Everything
Pain doesn’t just affect one part of your body. It affects how you work, how you sleep, how you move, and how you show up for the people who matter most.
At YMM Muscle Mechanic, every treatment is designed around your unique needs, goals, lifestyle, and physical demands.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, preparing for competition, dealing with the wear and tear of a physically demanding career, or simply looking to move more comfortably, treatment is focused on helping you achieve meaningful, lasting results.
Because too many people accept pain as normal when it doesn’t have to be.

Personalized Treatment Plans
You Don't Pay for Tools. You Pay for Results.
Results First. Techniques Second.
At YMM Muscle Mechanic, treatment is based on what your body needs, not which service carries the highest price tag.
Every appointment begins with understanding what’s causing the problem, not just where it hurts.
Deep tissue therapy, fire cupping, Graston, hot jade stones, kinesiology taping, TMJ treatment, lymphatic drainage, and other clinically appropriate techniques may be incorporated into your treatment when needed.
The focus isn’t on selling upgrades.
The focus is on helping you move better, recover faster, and achieve lasting results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to Common Questions About Massage Therapy & Booking
How do I know which appointment length to book?
If you’re unsure, book based on the amount of time you think may be needed rather than the treatment technique itself.
For most new clients, the 60 Minute Full Assessment & Treatment is the best place to start. Lauren will assess your concerns and determine the most appropriate treatment approach during your appointment.
Do you offer direct billing?
Yes. Direct billing is available for many insurance providers. If you have questions about your coverage, please contact us before your appointment and we’ll be happy to help.
Do I need a referral for massage therapy?
Most clients do not require a referral or doctor’s note to book a massage therapy appointment.
However, some insurance providers may require a referral for reimbursement purposes, so it’s always a good idea to check your individual coverage.
In certain situations, including high-risk pregnancies and some acute post-surgical treatments, a doctor’s note may be required before treatment can be provided.
If you’re unsure whether a referral or doctor’s note is needed, please contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to help.
What treatment techniques do you use?
Treatment may include deep tissue massage, fire cupping, TMJ therapy, lymphatic drainage, Graston (IASTM), hot jade stones, kinesiology taping, myofascial techniques, and other clinically appropriate modalities.
The techniques used will depend on your individual needs and treatment goals.
Can massage therapy help with chronic pain and injury recovery?
Massage therapy can be an effective part of a treatment plan for many musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic pain, tension, mobility restrictions, sports injuries, workplace injuries, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and recovery-related concerns.
Every treatment is tailored to the individual and their specific goals.
Can you provide documentation to support my medical care or insurance claim?
Clinical Impressions are evidence-informed professional opinions developed following a comprehensive assessment, health history review, physical examination findings, and ongoing treatment response.
These reports summarize suspected contributing factors, functional limitations, treatment progress, and recommended treatment strategies. They can be used to support communication with physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists, pain clinics, insurers, and other healthcare providers involved in your care.
While massage therapy is not currently recognized under the Alberta Health Care Act for Workers’ Compensation (WCB) claims, Clinical Impressions may provide valuable information to help support discussions with your healthcare team and advocate for your ongoing care.
